In 2012, I co-led a fun project to redesign the pit-stop wheel change. A fascinating ergonomic challenge, to help the racing team save fractions of a second and reduce the risk of mistakes. It was a fun day out to visit their workshops, and their was brilliant energy from all the staff and students around the whole project.
After graduation, one student from the winning team, Matt Granger worked with John Piper and Paoli to develop their innovate concept into a motor sports specific wheel gun and brought it to market.
